 Since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", PetroChina has focused on fighting a tough battle for pollution prevention and control, implemented the National Air, Water, and Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan and supporting strengthening measures requirements, and formulated the "Low-Carbon Development Roadmap", "Pollution Control Upgrade Plan", and "Ecology" The “Protection Outline” has established a “1+3” system for the group’s ecological and environmental protection development. PetroChina has established a pollutant source emission list and a pollutant source survey database covering more than 34,000 grassroots units in 106 companies, realizing environmental data "verifiable, declarable, and traceable". Strengthen methane control and strategic research, and methane emission intensity in 2020 will be reduced by 6% compared with the previous year.
